Saikat is a 501(c)(3) charitable, non-profit organization serving the community since 1987. We are dedicated to promoting Bengali culture in San Diego and neighboring communities.
This year, Saikat continued the tradition of keeping the coastline clean, by bringing together community members and environmental enthusiasts to clear litter and hazardous waste from the La Jolla Shores beach, on August 24, 2024. Together, we collected close to 20 lbs. of plastic waste, litter, and other debris that are a major threat to marine wildlife and the coastal ecosystem
