We are pleased to announce that Saikat will be celebrating Basanta Panchami 2026 (Vidya Dayini Binapani Saraswati Aradhona) on Saturday, January 24th 2026, at Design 39 Campus. In addition to Puja and Pushpanjali, we are planning to present various in-person cultural programs.

This initiative, proudly organized by Saikat San Diego, offers an exciting opportunity for the Saikat NextGen to participate in the Basanta Panchami celebration, connect with our rich culture and traditions, and foster community harmony through a creative and inspiring activity.
We are truly honored to have esteemed Saikat members — Sharmishtha Sinha, Tulip Das, Subarna Tripathi, Sucheta Roy, Sushmita Chatterjee, Madhura Basu Majumder, Moitrayee Majumdar, and Rima Chatterjee — whose exceptional expertise and dedication make them invaluable contributors. Their gracious support in conducting this event adds immense value to our celebration.
Sit-and-Draw Event
We are delighted to announce a special initiative as part of this year’s Basanta Panchami celebrations: Sit-and-Draw Event (Theme: Marine Sustainability), a poster drawing workshop for children. This activity is for kids and aims to encourage creativity while building awareness about caring for our oceans.

We have a limited number of spots available. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, January 23rd, 2026. Preference will be given to Saikat annual members as participants.

Rising Stars of Saikat
(Kid's Talent Show)
We are thrilled to announce that Saikat’s young stars will be showcasing their incredible talents at the “Rising Stars of Saikat” (Kids’ Talent Show), hosted after lunch on the day of Basanta Panchami). Please see the rules and regulations below.

Please note:

This is not a competitive event — every Saikat Family kid is a Superstar!

Selection is first-come, first-served. Spots are limited, so please apply as early as possible.

Performance time limit: 3 minutes per act.

If your performance might exceed this, please adjust it to stay within 3 minutes.

Group performances are encouraged! They tend to be more energetic and engaging.

Consider teaming up with other kids to create a themed group act.

Depending on the number of participants, the 3-minute limit may be relaxed at the Saikat EC’s discretion.

We also request your kind help with different aspects of the event. Saikat being a purely volunteer-based organization, we request you all to kindly come forward and help us conduct these events smoothly.

Both Saikat 2026 Annual Members as well as Non-members must submit RSVP Form.

Saikat's Annual members for the year 2026 can attend this event for free.

Families who are not members can still participate in the event by obtaining an event pass (choices are provided in the RSVP form).

Non-members are requested to complete the RSVP form and utilize the payment tabs as instructed in the form.
